For loans above these unsecured limits — up to ₹2 Crore total with collateral — Yes Bank accepts: residential property (LTV 75–85%), commercial property (LTV 55–65%), fixed deposits with Yes Bank (LTV 95%), LIC endowment policies, and approved mutual funds. Yes Bank's empanelled valuers complete property valuation in 7–10 working days. Properties accepted: residential apartments, independent houses in approved zones; not accepted: agricultural land, ancestral property without clear title chain, or properties in unauthorised colonies.
Coverage
Yes Bank's approved university list covers approximately 1,200 institutions globally — focused on QS Top 500 universities where placement data supports underwriting. Premier tier includes all Ivy League, top US public R1 universities, Stanford, MIT, Carnegie Mellon, top UK universities (Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, LSE, UCL, KCL), Group of Eight Australia, NUS/NTU Singapore, top European business schools (INSEAD, IE, IESE, HEC, Bocconi). Approved tier covers an additional 1,000 institutions globally with valid accreditation. For Indian studies, Yes Bank funds all IITs, IIMs, NITs, AIIMS, BITS, ISB, XLRI, MDI, SPJIMR, FMS Delhi, top private engineering/medical colleges, and most NIRF top 100 universities. Yes Bank is more selective than peer private banks on Tier-2/3 universities — for those, NBFCs are typically better choices.

Compare
If Yes Bank doesn't suit your profile, here are the strongest alternatives.
Larger private bank competitor at 9.85%–12.50% — slightly lower rates and broader brand recognition. Choose ICICI for existing relationship or larger branch network. Yes Bank is competitive on rate but smaller institutional footprint.
Compare for my profileDirect private bank peer at 10.10%–12.75% — comparable rates with specialised MBA loan product. Choose Axis specifically for MBA loans (industry-best 12-month post-course moratorium). Yes Bank is better for general Master's and undergraduate loans.
Compare for my profileNBFC alternative offering higher unsecured limits (₹1.5 Cr vs Yes Bank's ₹75 L). Choose Credila for higher amounts or faster processing (5–8 days). Yes Bank wins on rate for amounts under ₹75 L and for students at premier universities.
