A fixed rate means your EMI is known in advance. Most other education loans in India are floating — they move when the RBI repo rate changes. Here's what each tier costs on a ₹50 Lakh loan repaid over 10 years:

PNB Udaan Scheme — FAQs

Straight answers to the questions students ask us most

PNB Udaan has three tiers, all with collateral: a fixed 8.35% at the 50 universities on PNB's list, from 8.7% (negotiable) at other top universities, and 9%–9.3% at other universities.
The list has 50 globally top-ranked universities across 13 countries — including Oxford, Harvard, Cambridge, Stanford, MIT, Imperial College London, ETH Zurich and the National University of Singapore. The full list is on this page.
Yes. The Udaan rates above are for loans with collateral. If you can't offer collateral, look at SBI (from 9.2% without collateral at highly ranked universities), HDFC Credila (from 9.7%) or Avanse Global (from 12%, no collateral at all).
At a listed university, Udaan's fixed 8.35% is lower than SBI's 8.65% collateral rate and HDFC Credila's 9.7%. At other universities, SBI's rate is similar or lower. See our full lender comparison for collateral and co-applicant rules side by side.
